Her very first photo! Poor little mite. A slight eye infection (dealt with quickly and easily) and a very bedraggled appearance which I later realised was merely due to the way her coat grew. But so cute!

A few days later and her eye is well on the mend. She's also found that my original chairs (before the sofa-bed) were quite comfortable. Indeed, as the following group of photos show - more than comfortable...

Early explorations of the garden were all brief and well supervised. Within days she was wanting to explore a whole lot further afield than I thought was good for her.

In this photo, and the previous one, you can see the way her fur "breaks" at the joints between the colours. She's much more sleek now... though her banding still shows when lit from behind.

All that effort and nerve expended for so little reward! Even next doors cat, as you can see in a late pic, just sat and watched the proceedings. The tolerance of animals to young always impresses me.

A good five or six feet above ground level and going strong. More to the point - she very quickly learned that backing most of the way down was better than trying to return head first.

It was a little over a week before she decided that the new sofa-bed was quite comfortable, although even now she tends to kip on it only when I'm there too.

I can't see my old favourite chair anywhere... what have you done with it? What's this big blue thing doing here? Huh? Where'm I supposed to nap now????

A visiting net friend decides to test Sally's fighting skill.

This is what I've had to put up with while writing this page!! Not to mention her playing with the camera strap and attacking the mouse - when she wasn't sitting on the cable, that is!!
